54-46 That's My Number

A classic song written by Toots Hibbert about his experience of being imprisoned for possession of marijuhana. First released in 1968 on the Pyramid label in the UK and again the following year on Trojan as '54-46 Was my Number'. It was used in the soundtrack of Shane Meadows' film 'This is England'(2006).

Here's our live version - always a highlight of the set.

Israelites

Desmond Dekker's 1968 Classic.

This is the Skalectrix studio version

On My Radio

A seminal 1979 single by the Selecter

We usually close the first set with this tune and we love Cutty's keyboard solos.

A Message to you Rudy

First released by Dandy Livingstone in 1967 - but most people will identify with the 1979 version by the Specials. Interestingly both versions feature the trombone playing of Rico Rodriguez.

Everyone always calls for this one ... don't worry we are going to play it eventually.
